Position: Metal Fabricator

We are currently looking to fill a first shift welder/fabricator position. This position will be responsible for a wide array of tasks including cutting, drilling, welding, grinding, and painting.

Qualification for Position:

  • Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and MSAW process
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience in the safe operations of common shop tools, including but not limited to: band saw, iron worker, bridgeport, belt sander and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Must have a desire to work safely and with a good attitude
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • AWS certification or technical school a plus, but not required

Qualified candidates must have a willingness to learn, attention to detail, high standards of quality, and the ability to work with others. We run a fast paced and dynamic fabrication shop. Position: AOA Estimator / Project Manager

Estimator: Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, Vendor Relationships, Reporting Skills, Commercial Estimating, Decision Making, Teamwork, Documentation Skills, Quality Focus, Technology

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience in take offs and estimating Doors, Frames and Hardware for Commercial construction.
  • Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, Vendor Relationships, Reporting Skills, Commercial/Residential Estimating, Decision Making, Teamwork, Documentation Skills, Quality Focus, Technology
  • Working knowledge of Commercial/Residential construction documentation and pricing, able to read plans and specifications and translating them into estimates.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledgeable of Commercial Construction principles and processes.
  • Ability to ready and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable of negotiated bids, hard bids.
  • Maintains a "value added" approach to estimating.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or work equivalent) for Construction Science or related field
  • Proficiency with reading Commercial/Residential construction plans, specifications and vendor product data information
  • Familiarity with Commercial/Residential construction project delivery methods and practices.

Position: Sales Specialist

AOA Window and Door is accepting applications for Residential Window and Door Design/Sales Specialists. This position provides an opportunity to work with homeowners, builders and other industry professionals and provide them with high quality window and door solutions. We are looking for an energetic, highly organized person.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate would be:

  • An understanding of residential construction and remodeling,
  • Comfortable meeting with clients in their homes to present window and door solutions and understand project drawings to do window and door take offs and quotes,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently as well as with a team,
  • Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
